As an admin I want to configure special rules for search terms so that my students or employees are not searching the web for explicit or harmful content. I would like to enable a default set of terms flagged as inappropriate and have those terms removed from the query. I would like to be able to see blocked query terms in the reports and generate alerts so that I can be notified when the firewall filters such terms.

KarlOr at the very least, to be able to report/flag a set of search terms would be super helpful to me as an admin in the education sector!

Heather P AdminPlease see our NG Firewall 14.2 release. Web Filter can now flag or block based on the words that users search for with Google, Youtube, Ask, Bing, and Yahoo. You can try it first on demo.untangle.com, go to Web Filter and you will see a new tab "Search Terms".

KarlHeather, this may well be a deal breaker with one school I support who are currently choosing their next filtering/monitoring solution. Kudos to Untangle for listening to it's users. There are still plenty of good suggestions in this forum that I'm really hopeful to see implemented. Such as, custom reports/alerts - as in, not just JSON dumps sent in an email...
